Several European member states are expected to officially recognize the state of Palestine by the end of May - said Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, quoted by Reuters.

Borrell’s comments came at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2024 special meeting currently being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
